One of my favorite movie quotes/lines….. From Young Frankenstein…… ok, ok, ok, it is as well used in earlier version of “Frankenstein”…… but favorite version is the Gene Wilder version….
Any rate….. this explains how I feel about this website…… it has taken a life of its own……… and it is taking too much of my time, so for the first time on any website I am going to have to put up a “Donation” button. While the Google Adsense is generating some nickles and dimes, it takes tens of thousands of “uniques” to really produce any meaningful income….. so I am requesting a buck or two to help maybe reduce the need of having to search and try to find a third or fourth job to balance the budget……. unlike our government, I can’t print money and I have to have a balance budget *grin*
Only fair when asking for donations……. to what and whom are you donating?
It doesn’t take much effort to find out “whom” I am……. but I will try a little bit to remain anonymous is my goal until I am again really “full employed” …… I am one of many who have lost their main source of income…… I am one of those who is “under employed”……. between odd jobs, selling stuff on Ebay I am able to month to month keep making “ends meet”…. but my normal “day gig” I am in such a minority in my political views….. I would wager I am probably in a group of people that numbers less than 10% who feel “smaller government” is needed…… expressing these views, every so reservedly and politely has cost me jobs and has as well limited my efforts in achieving full time employment……. so I need to stay in the shadows for now…….
After working for about 35 years in the “entertainment” world, the vast majority of my friends aren’t even close to being “center” or even “left of center”……. instead of engaging them in verbal debates which almost always prove pointless, I found it much easier to just send them a link to an article or to a YouTube video……..
For example you might ask “Who are you, Head Patriot, to determine what is “left” or “left of center” ?” So all I do is send you to this video of Janeane Garofalo …… then I would say Ms Garofalo is “left of center” *grin*……. Or Obamacare is really a huge push to single payer plan and is attempt to redistribute wealth, most of my friends would argue “oh not its not” and I would link them to “In his own words” …… I rather “discuss” what people are really saying rather than the laser finer points of the definition of “Socialism” or some other verbal masturbation of a definition of a single word or view point.
I dislike RINO’s more than liberals……. John McCain and Lindsey Graham don’t get me started…… I think it is a waste of time debating the “birthers” Obama thing…… as is the whole “government” involvement of 9-11…. all of this nonsense is mute since the whole world is out of money.
So in my opinion, the real debate isn’t we are going to have a smaller government…… rather it is whether or not it is made small enough to avoid a complete collapse……..
So I am “right of center”, although the “center marker” is the one real marker that moves on a sliding scale…… I have been clean and sober since 1992 (thanks to a higher power) and I am looking for a new full time job. And now I am having to reach out with a tin cup for some help so I can try to keep some sanity in my life and circle of friends.
I hope you are as well able to use this site as I do…… just send your family and friends who just might to the “left” of you to some videos that I am collecting here………
