Movie News At the end of 2007 and throughout 2009, a film crew, lead by director Jonathan Flora, traveled with Gary and the band. The film, now in the final stages of completion, is called Lt Dan Band: For the Common Good and is looking for a distributor. Lt. Dan Band: For The Common Good is a moving feature-length documentary that transcends genres and celebrates America’s heroes. This uplifting film chronicles the journey of Academy Award® Nominated actor, Gary Sinise who since 9/11, has vowed to never to forget those who are willing to give all.

By following Gary and his Lt. Dan Band around the world for nearly two years, including Kuwait and Iraq, we meet many of our brave men and women in uniform, our heroic first responders, their families and the wonderful citizens that support them. In the process, we are inspired ourselves to actively participate in supporting America’s finest, and to also never forget.

Lt. Dan Band: For The Common Good has an amazing soundtrack and special appearances by numerous celebrities, including Academy Award® Winners Jon Voight and Robert Duvall, as well as John Ratzenberger, Melina Kanakaredes, Raquel Welch, Connie Stevens, Mykelti Williamson, Dale Dye and more.

This powerful and emotional film is produced and directed by Hollywood filmmaker and 82nd Airborne Veteran Jonathan Flora.

   Please bring your LT Dan Band to Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA, 200 mi. north of LA on I-5 and then 20 mi. east on SR-198, It is the largest Master Jet Air Station in the Country, flying the latest models of FA-18 Strike Fighter Hornet aircraft. We have two large training commands and at least 20-25 commands who deploy on aircraft carriers to various parts of the Pacific, Indian Ocean, the Gulf–wherever they are needed.

   Not only do we have the pilots, we have all the enlisted crew to make sure those jets are ready to go, There is a large training school for teaching these future aviation mechanics, electricians, technicians, plane captains, etc. to keep these jets up and flying.

   There is a hospital to support active duty and their dependents. Please check us out. We are a large base and even though we are not “in theater,” everyone in our squadrons has been or will be deployed, along with Individual Augumentees who actually go in-country to to augment our Marines and other services.

   If this is even a remote possibility, please contact me so I can find out when most of our men and women will actually be here. Even if this doesn’t work out, you are a true patriot and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
