First and foremost, both the Republicans and Democrats got us into this mess. But unlike the Democrats, I like many conservatives will include many/most of the so called “conservatives” of the 1990′s through 2006 as part of the current problem of out of control deficit/spending…… This is a warning, even more so to the “new” Republicans being voted into office, we will NOT wait until 2012 for action. We WILL vote you out if you do not start immediate change in our fiscal policy.

As in part one…… it is Congress who spends the money, not the POTUS……. so keep in mind when which political parties are actually in “power” ……. please refer back to Truth In Numbers Part One for clarification……..

First off, this claim shows a tremendous lack of knowledge about how our Government functions.  Here’s a hint (well, more like a 2×4 upside the head): the President does NOT write the budget; the House does. Then the House sends the budget to the Senate for amending and its own vote. Then back for conference and a full vote by the Congress. THEN it goes to the President.

This chart is provided for those “smarty pants” who think/thought it would favor the Democrats if the deficit was broken out to a percentage of GDP…… nope, nice try Dems……..
