At the Town Hall meeting, Pete was vague and unclear about E-verify, the easiest and most effective way for businesses to immediately check the immigration status of people applying for a job in America.

E-Verify is an extremely important tool for employers to use, especially since they are legally responsible if they hire an illegal alien, which is against the law.

Pete compared E-Verify to the Arizona Immigration Law, saying that it was unfair, and questioned its constitutionality. He said that ‘it might unfairly stop someone from getting a job’. You mean like an illegal alien Pete?
