This will the first post in a series that will call to attention certain pages that are pulled right of the current House Bill, the so called “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009”…… what is “affordable”, certainly not the printing of a 1,000 page bill that is supposedly going to simplify our lives.

Actually even JUST reading the “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009” is too much to ask for………..

REP. JOHN CONYERS, D – MICH.: I love these members that get up and say, Read the bill! Well, what good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you’ve read the bill?

I am working my way through the 1,000 plus page bill……. And I am not a lawyer, like Rep John Conyers or one of the bills sponsors, Rep Henery Waxman and I don’t have access to “two lawyers” which Mr Conyers said would be required to understand the bill…….

But what I don’t understand is why Mr Waxman is “hedging his bets” as to when the “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009” really begins….. see below:

Excerpt from interview on Democracy Now:

AMY GOODMAN: And it would go into effect when? In something like 2013?

REP. HENRY WAXMAN: It would take—certain things would take effect immediately. A lot of the insurance regulations would take effect immediately. A lot of the public programs would take effect immediately. We’ve put a lot of emphasis on public health and preventive services and training new primary care physicians. But the crux of the bill, with the exchange and the insurance options, will take a little—a couple years to put into place. So I think it’s to 2012 or ’13 when it would be fully in effect.

“So I think it’s to 2012 to ’13 when it would be fully in effect…..” If Mr Waxman, one of the authors of the Bill doesn’t really know when the “crux of the bill” really goes into effect….. either 2012 or 2013….. “A lot of the public programs would take effect effect immediately.) Define “A lot…” please…. What/which programs go into effect immediately?

While most of the “experts” agree the “crux of the bill” does go into effect as stated in the bill, in its current form, in 2013 (see Page 14 directly from the bill below), why doesn’t the author of the bill know when the “crux” goes into effect?

And what steps and how much more money is it going take to get the “battle field” prepared in order for this bill to take effect?
